The Call of the Earth: The Origin of ReverdeSer

My name is Malory, better known in the valley as “Mago.” A free soul born in Belgium.

In 2016, I embarked on a deep journey in search of more conscious ways of inhabiting the planet, exploring new ways to live with nature and coexist with others. I started by walking to Santiago de Compostela, then traveled through Southeast Asia, until I arrived in Argentina in 2018.

Upon arriving in Argentina, I was deeply fascinated and inspired by the values of friendship and solidarity that can be found in every corner of the country.

In Córdoba, the magic of the mountains and the warmth of its people touched me deeply. I felt the urge to put down roots here and began training in bioconstruction. Yet I was quickly struck by the ecological disasters affecting the province: deforestation, uncontrolled land development, monocultures, intensive livestock farming and overgrazing, fires, resource depletion, droughts, and desertification.

This impact awakened in me a calling to protect a piece of land. I began exploring different valleys, searching for the place where I could bring a bit of my magic to care for nature. It was in Traslasierra that I felt this deep and powerful calling (November 2023).

From this feeling, the project ReverdeSer Solidaridad was born. My dream is to create a space where we can live in harmony with the natural world and learn from its wisdom. A surge of love pushed me to take the first step, trusting that I was not alone, that many others felt the same, and that the right people would arrive. And they do, every day.

Moreover, as a neighbor, I have the privilege of being surrounded by a group of philanthropists who have acquired a total of 1,100 hectares and are also creating a reserve. Magma, the manager, was a sign that this was the right place.

I have deep faith in humanity. I believe that when we come together from the heart, we are capable of transforming the world. Unity is our greatest strength and the only way to create a positive and lasting impact. Only by reconnecting with the Earth and with each other can we heal the wounds we have caused and build a future where life can flourish.

My purpose is to contribute to a world that is more united, conscious, and sustainable, where love for life and solidarity guide our steps.

ReverdeSer Solidaridad was born as a proof of love and trust in life.

Friendship is the essential pillar that supports a project like this.

And Love, the source of trust and inspiration.

Thanks to my friends and my partner 💚
And to all the people who show up every day 💫

We are just getting started and growing little by little. Each day is a learning experience.

How We Acquired The Land

I had been waiting for four years to find a piece of land, and by “chance,” I learned that a large tract of nature was for sale at an affordable price. I went to see it one day in September 2024, driven by curiosity and expecting nothing in particular, but with deep enthusiasm.

Upon arrival, I was struck by the wildness of the place and the silence brought by its remoteness. However, the dryness of the region also worried me. At first, I thought it was sheer madness to take on a place like this. But my intuition said otherwise… I felt, deep within, that I had to stay, that there was much hope, and that this was the place I was meant to be. That feeling was wonderful, far stronger than the fear stirred by my thoughts.

So I listened to that call and put down a deposit.
In a rather disorganized way, since I hadn’t prepared anything and only had 25% of the land’s value. In October, I was granted a four-month purchase deadline…

Joking with friends, an idea came up… what if we held a raffle with the Turtle!? (my little camper van, where I had lived for a bit more than a year)

Magically, it happened, and we were able to reach 55% of the budget. For the rest, I tried to find funding by writing to dozens of project financing organizations, foundations, and the governments of Argentina, Belgium, France, Spain, Germany, etc., etc. I received messages of congratulations and encouragement—but no money.

By that time, I had already paid half of the land, and the purchase deadline was two months away.
I then decided to appeal to the solidarity of the people. The idea of acquiring and preserving a piece of land through the donations of hundreds of people seemed fantastic, demonstrating the power of collective action.

Thanks to that campaign, I raised an additional 9%! It was wonderful and incredible! Although it was a bit controversial because of my disorganization (everything was done on the fly).
In the final days of the deadline, with high stress levels but still confident, I received help from four family members of friends, who lent me the remaining 36%.

What an immense relief and emotion it was to acquire the land!
We immediately started visiting it weekly, exploring the property and collecting observations.
Later, with six friends, we began creating a foundation to facilitate legal protection. This was put on hold due to lack of organization and financial resources (I literally found myself at zero).

Then, in June 2025, I decided to come work in Belgium.
It was a difficult decision; I didn’t want to leave the land to return to the European bustle. But it had become too complicated from Argentina, so I seized the opportunity.

I wholeheartedly wish to return to Traslasierra and continue the activities. Hundreds of people write to me wanting to help or learn about the project.
But we need a financial base to get started (around €20,000) and to repay what was loaned (€11,000 remaining).

Today, in January 2026, I am relaunching the donation campaign.
Raising the funds alone could take years, but with contributions from committed people, we could dedicate all our energy and resources to regeneration activities, accelerating the protection and restoration of the land.
