How We Sustain Ourselves

ReverdeSer is an act of planetary service. Our vision is that access to nature and the knowledge to heal it should be a right, not a commodity. That is why we do not commercialize our courses, workshops, or guided tours; we share them under a model of gift economy and reciprocity.

Everything we offer is a gift to the world, sustained by the solidarity of our community. We believe that those who benefit from the project are also the ones who, according to their means, ensure its future.

We are funded exclusively through:

  • Voluntary Donations: Contributions from individuals and organizations that resonate with our mission. Every peso/euro is channeled through the Reverdir la Terre ASBL association to cover the project’s concrete needs.
  • Founders’ Commitment: The project was born and is sustained also thanks to the contribution and professional work of its founders, who reinvest their own resources to ensure that the vision of ReverdeSer becomes a tangible reality while the support circle grows.
  • Total Transparency: We minimize administrative expenses to the absolute minimum so that the vast majority of every euro directly impacts the forest. Management is voluntary: our priority is the land, not bureaucracy. We do not accept funds from political parties, extractive industries, or organizations whose values contradict the protection of life.

For ReverdeSer to become a tangible reality, we have projected the necessary investment. Every contribution brings us closer to these goals:

  • Legality and Perpetual Protection (+ €40,000): Funds dedicated to final land regularization (Title Deed, Land Survey + Reserve status). This is the essential legal step to secure the territory, ensuring the forest remains protected and off the real estate market forever.

  • Infrastructure* and Energy (€56,000): Construction of volunteer spaces, greenhouse, native nursery, dry toilets, and community kitchen (€20k*), perimeter fencing (€22k), along with solar energy systems and water management (€14k).

  • Logistics and Tools (€14,000): Acquisition of a pick-up truck for materials transport (€10k), manual restoration tools (€2k), and wildlife monitoring equipment (camera traps) (€2k).

  • Knowledge and Continuity (€12,000): Training, educational materials, recognition for specialists, and a reserve fund for contingencies and maintenance.

*Our constructions are based on natural building (bioconstruction) using local materials and the power of collectivity. The budget is low because it is allocated solely to essential materials, relying on volunteer work to demonstrate that with little, we can create much.

Total needed for creation and maintenance: +- €122,000

In the meantime, we do what we can with what we have… step by step…

Every contribution makes a big difference in this collective dream. We invite you to contribute
